Revenant Hill: A Promising Indie Title Meets an Untimely End

The highly anticipated follow-up to indie hit Night in the Woods, Revenant Hill, has been canceled due to serious health issues faced by key members of the development team. The Glory Society, the studio behind the game, announced the decision and stated that the team has amicably decided to suspend operations. The cancellation marks the end of the development of Revenant Hill, and artist and animator Scott Benson revealed that he has been diagnosed with severe heart failure, which will greatly limit his ability to work. The game was first announced in May and was set in the same universe as Night in the Woods.

Revenant Hill: A New Game Skipping Xbox, Coming to PS5, PS4, and Steam!

However, it has only been confirmed for PS5, PS4, and Steam, with no confirmation for Xbox yet. The co-creator has stated that it is a "nonpermanent" situation and Xbox could hypothetically get the game in the future. Revenant Hill is set in 1919 and follows Twigs the cat as he tries to make ends meet after losing his barn.
