UC Davis students demand increased security measures following stabbing spree.
UC Davis students have returned to in-person instruction after evening classes were switched to remote format amid fears of a serial stabber. Police arrested 21-year-old former UC Davis student Carlos Dominguez, who is suspected of stabbing three people, killing two of them, in less than a week in Davis. While some students are glad to be getting back to normal, others are hesitant to attend night classes. Most students want more safety measures on campus, including better lighting and night patrols. UC Davis Police Chief Joe Farrow said increased security measures will remain active for the time being.
