The upcoming Star Wars movie featuring Rey Skywalker reportedly has a title, "New Jedi Order," and will begin filming in April 2024. The movie will follow Rey's journey to restore the Jedi Order and mentor two young students. It is set to release on May 22, 2026, and will be written by Steven Knight and directed by Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy.
Disney has announced plans for three new "Star Wars" movies, one of which will feature Daisy Ridley reprising her role as Rey in a story set 15 years after "The Rise of Skywalker." The film will focus on rebuilding the New Jedi Order as powers rise to tear it down. The other two films will delve into the past to tell the story of the first Jedi to wield the Force and chronicle an escalating war between the Imperial Remnant and the fledgling New Republic, respectively.
