St. Louis Cardinals manager Oliver Marmol expressed confidence that catcher Willson Contreras could swing his way out of his offensive struggles, which have dragged his average down to .201. Despite his struggles, Contreras has a 10.4% walk rate and is in the 99th percentile in maximum exit velocity, 83rd in average exit velocity and 74th in hard-hit percentage, according to Statcast. The Cardinals are also in line to play the Giants at Birmingham, Alabama’s historic Rickwood Field at a showcase event in 2024.

"Jacksonville Secures Future of Georgia-Florida Rivalry Games"

Georgia and Florida have agreed to continue their annual NCAA football game in Jacksonville, Florida, as a neutral-site game through the 2025 season. The contract was set to expire after the 2023 season, but will now see the two sides meet in Jacksonville in 2024 and 2025. The City of Jacksonville is expected to conduct renovations on its stadium at some point in the future, which could force the series to be played elsewhere for two seasons.
