Former New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson, who also served as a congressman and Secretary of Energy, has passed away at the age of 75. Richardson, known for his work in global conflict resolution and prisoner release, founded the Richardson Center for Global Engagement. He was credited with successfully negotiating the release of hostages and political prisoners in various countries. Richardson's accomplishments as governor included boosting economic development, improving job numbers, and bringing the movie industry to New Mexico. He also co-founded the Foundation to Preserve New Mexico Wildlife with actor Robert Redford. Richardson is survived by his wife and daughter.
