Tennessee baseball defeated Clemson 6-5 in a 14-inning game at the Clemson Regional, with Hunter Ensley hitting a double to send Maui Ahuna home for the winning run. Zane Denton hit a three-run homer in the ninth inning to give the Vols the lead, but Clemson tied it in the bottom of the ninth. Tennessee will play Clemson again in the regional final.
The Nebraska softball team won in walk-off fashion over No. 21 Wichita State, 9-8, in the ninth inning to advance to the NCAA Regional Final. Freshman Katelyn Caneda drove in Sydney Gray for the winning run. Every Husker in the lineup recorded a hit as NU tallied 13 hits. Mya Felder led the Big Red offense, finishing 3-for-5 with one home run and two RBI. The Huskers return to action for the regional final, Sunday, May 22, at 3 p.m. when they face host No. 9 Oklahoma State.
Utah Gymnastics advances to the NCAA Regional Final after winning its session of the NCAA Regional Second Round with a 198.125 at Pauley Pavilion. The Red Rocks led from start to finish, highlighted by season highs on vault and bars, and a pair of Perfect 10s. Joining Utah as the other advancing team was Washington, which finished with a 196.775 to edge out Southern Utah (196.600) and #12 Auburn (195.900).
