Minnesota State University's women's basketball team won the 2023-24 NCAA Division II National Championship, defeating Texas Woman's University 89-73. Sophomore Natalie Bremer led the Maverick offense with 27 points and was named the NCAA Tournament's Most Outstanding Player, while senior Joey Batt and sophomore Ava Stier also made significant contributions. The Mavericks forced 30 turnovers and shot 43.5% from long range, securing their second national title in program history under 13th year head coach Emily Thiesse.
