Leonard Glenn Francis, also known as "Fat Leonard," the Malaysian citizen and owner of Glenn Defense Marine Asia, a Singapore-based company, is being turned over to the United States by the Venezuelan government as part of a prisoner exchange. Francis was involved in the biggest military corruption scandal in U.S. history, defrauding the Navy of an estimated $50 million by bribing Navy officers with prostitutes and obtaining classified information. He escaped U.S. custody before sentencing and fled to Venezuela. Francis is now returning to the U.S. to face justice.
