Norwegian cruise ship loses navigation and power after rogue wave hits
A Norwegian cruise ship, MS Maud, lost its ability to navigate after being hit by a rogue wave while sailing from Norway to the United Kingdom. The wave shattered windows on the ship's bridge, causing water to enter and resulting in a power outage. No serious injuries were reported among the 266 passengers and 131 crew members. The ship had to be steered manually from the engine room with the assistance of support vessels until it could be towed to port. The crew conducted safety checks and technical assessments to ensure the ship's continued course.
