Teen's Heroic Actions Thwart Mariemont High School Shooting
Lexis King's 15-year-old nephew, Jackson Swallen, is being honored for helping prevent a potential school shooting at Mariemont High School in Cincinnati, Ohio. Swallen learned of a credible plot to harm students and staff, including a "kill list" and access to a weapon, and bravely informed his father despite being threatened by the student involved. His actions led to the arrest of a 14-year-old student charged with conspiracy to commit aggravated murder, and he is now being recognized with the National Student Hero Award.
