Observing National Peace Officers Memorial Day: Flag Orders and Honor Guards in North Carolina, Minnesota, and Virginia.
All flags at state facilities in North Carolina have been lowered to half-staff in honor of National Peace Officers Memorial Day, which recognizes law enforcement officers who lost their lives or were injured in the line of duty. Governor Roy Cooper ordered the lowering and encouraged individuals, businesses, schools, municipalities, counties, and other government subdivisions to do the same.
