"YouTube Shorts Introduces Music Video Remixing Feature"
YouTube Shorts introduces the ability for creators to add and remix music videos in response to TikTok's ongoing music licensing battle with Universal Music Group, allowing access to UMG's libraries while TikTok users remain without it. The new feature gives YouTube an edge over TikTok and allows creators to incorporate music videos as backgrounds, use their sound, and cut and incorporate clips from the music video in their Shorts.
