Sonos has released its first music speaker designed for spatial audio, the Era 300, which has an unusual shape to accommodate all the drivers needed for achieving room-filling effects. The speaker supports Dolby Atmos for movies and is designed to envelop the user from all directions without needing a room full of speakers to achieve the effect. The Era 300 is well-built, exceedingly sturdy, and generally feels like a product that justifies its high price tag. The speaker is easy to set up, and the Trueplay feature tunes the speaker's output based on where it's placed in the room. However, the spatial audio experience can be hit or miss, and the speaker looks a little weird.
