Kodak MC3: The 2001 all-in-one that predated smartphones
Kodak’s MC3 (circa 2001) was an early all-in-one gadget blending a digital camera, video camera, and MP3 player in one device for under $300. It offered VGA stills, CompactFlash storage, and 320x240 video, but with limited 4-second clips (4 minutes on a 64 MB card), no backlit screen, and mediocre viewing angles, making it ambitious for its era and a precursor to the direction smartphones would later take.
