Ubisoft's Anti-Cheating Measures Lead to Significant Decline in Rainbow Six Siege Hackers
Ubisoft's MouseTrap system, designed to detect cheaters in Rainbow Six Siege, has resulted in a "major reduction" of over 70% in the number of mouse and keyboard users on consoles. The system has surpassed expectations, with a 78% reduction in total spoofers detected. Cheaters have been forced to turn off devices like XIM, Cronus Zen, and ReaSnow S1 due to the system's impact. However, Ubisoft acknowledges the ongoing challenge of dealing with third-party cheating hardware and vows to continue monitoring and updating the system to ensure fair gameplay for console players.
