Daring NYC Prisoner Escapes Fifth Floor Hospital Using Sheets
A prisoner receiving medical treatment at Mount Sinai Beth Israel hospital in New York City escaped by tying sheets together, rappelling from a fifth-floor window, and hailing a taxi. The 44-year-old man had been in custody since July for drug possession and managed to escape while being taken to the bathroom for a shower. The police and correction departments are currently searching for him.
