"IATSE Secures Multiple Tentative Agreements on Craft-Specific Deal Terms"

Negotiations for the Basic Agreement are ongoing, with a focus on AI, pension, and health funding, and are scheduled to begin on April 29, with the current agreement expiring on July 31. The local agreements are not binding until the entire Basic Agreement is ratified, and further negotiations with other unions, including Teamsters Local 399, are still pending.

The move comes as part of a broader trend of unionization in the animation industry, with the Animation Guild now representing over 70% of production workers across major Hollywood studios and expressing a commitment to continue organizing until all work is covered.
