Crews battled a vegetation fire in Rancho Cordova, which burned at least 34 acres before forward progress was stopped. The fire, located at White Rock Road and Salisbury Road, required extensive mop up and presented challenges such as rattlesnake hazards. No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
