Daryl "Moose" Johnston, a former USFL executive, has been appointed as the executive vice president of football operations for the newly formed United Football League (UFL), which is a merger of the XFL and USFL. He will work alongside president and CEO Russ Brandon and other executives who previously held positions in the USFL and XFL. The UFL will feature eight teams and is set to kick off on March 30, with the inaugural game featuring the USFL champions Birmingham Stallion against the XFL champions Arlington Renegades, with broadcasts across ABC, Fox, ESPN, and FS1.
