Rockstar Games released server-side background updates for GTA Online to fix issues caused by the recent Money Fronts patch, including problems with mission bonuses, game crashes, and access to the Cayo Perico Beach Party, with further updates expected.
PlayStation has temporarily removed the PlayStation Plus requirement for GTA Online to promote the new Money Fronts update, allowing all players on PS4 and PS5 to access the game without a subscription for two weeks, ending on July 1st, to encourage engagement with new content and vehicles.
The GTA Online Money Fronts update 1.71 introduces new content, gameplay improvements, bug fixes, and stability enhancements, including doubled rewards for Arena Wars, experience improvements, new creator tools, and visual enhancements for GTA V. It also addresses numerous issues affecting game stability, content access, and property management.
The GTA Online Money Fronts DLC is available for pre-download on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One, allowing players to download the update early before its official release on June 17th. PS4 and PC users will need to wait until the release time to download. The update sizes vary from around 3GB to 4.66GB depending on the console.
