Nubia has unveiled the Nubia Flip 5G for Europe, a rebranded version of the ZTE Libero Flip, which is touted as the world’s cheapest foldable phone. Priced at €599, it features a Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset, a 6.9-inch foldable OLED screen, a 4,310mAh battery, and a 50MP dual rear camera system. However, it lacks water resistance, wireless charging, and may have limited software support.
Tecno, a lesser-known smartphone brand, is set to unveil the Phantom Ultimate smartphone with rollable screen technology at Mobile World Congress 2024, along with a borderless foldable phone and environment-friendly materials for phone shells. The company also plans to showcase advancements in skin color mapping for smartphone cameras and mobile video imaging, as well as a robotic dog called Dynamic 1 and the industry's first Windows AR gaming kit called Tecno Pocket Go. Despite its underdog status, Tecno has a history of innovative smartphone features, such as a pop-out camera and liquid lens tech.
