AMD's 2025 Laptop Lineup: RDNA 4 GPUs and Strix Halo iGPU Innovations

AMD's upcoming Radeon RX 8000 "RDNA 4" mobile GPUs will feature at least four SKUs with memory configurations ranging from 8 GB to 16 GB and TGPs up to 175W. These GPUs, based on the Navi 48 and Navi 44 architectures, are set to replace the current RX 7900M and RX 7600M models. The mobile variants will differ from desktop versions, which are expected to launch in early 2025. Additionally, a Navi 33 refresh for entry-level laptops will retain the RDNA 3 architecture with potential optimizations.

NVIDIA introduces new RTX 4000 SFF Ada GPU for desktops and laptops.

NVIDIA has announced an update to its workstation GPU series, including the RTX 4000 ADA SFF professional GPU, equipped with 6144 CUDA cores, 192 Tensors, and 48 RT cores. It offers up to 19.2 TFLOPS of compute in single-precision workloads and up to 306.8 TFLOPS in Tensor-based tests. NVIDIA has also unveiled five new mobile workstation GPUs: RTX 5000, 4000, 3500, 3000, and 2000, with specs similar to the RTX 40 gaming series. The RTX 3500 has 5120 CUDA cores, a configuration not available with consumer models.
