Woman fatally shot after entering wrong driveway in upstate New York
Kevin Monahan, a 65-year-old man from Hebron, New York, was arrested on a second-degree murder charge after he fired two gunshots at Kaylin Gillis and her friends as they turned around in his driveway after mistakenly entering it. One of the bullets hit Gillis, causing a fatal injury. Monahan had become increasingly upset over the years at people making wrong turns into his driveway. Gillis was a 20-year-old artist and Disney fanatic who was looking forward to starting college in Florida to become a marine biologist. Her family called her "a kind, beautiful soul and a ray of light to anyone who was lucky enough to know her."
