The boyfriend of Alicia Navarro, a teenage girl who went missing in 2019, has been arrested and charged with two felony counts of sexual abuse of children after child sexual abuse material was found on his cellphone. Alicia, who is now 18, walked into a police station in Montana to identify herself and seek help to be removed from the list of missing juveniles. When police visited the boyfriend's home, Alicia initially claimed to be alone, but officers observed him throwing a cellphone into the trash. The phone contained over 80 images of boys and girls being sexually abused, including infants and toddlers. It remains unclear why Alicia disappeared or where she had been for the past few years. The boyfriend has not been charged in relation to Alicia's disappearance and is currently held on a $1 million bond.
McDowell County Sheriff's Office is seeking the public's assistance in locating 15-year-old Audrie Vess, a missing juvenile last seen at her residence in Marion, North Carolina. Vess is described as a white female with blonde hair and blue eyes, standing at approximately 5'7" tall and weighing 175lbs. Anyone with information is urged to contact the McDowell County Sheriff's Office or Crime Stoppers.
Authorities in Ohio and West Virginia are searching for Kandice Victoria Gibson, a missing 17-year-old juvenile from South Carolina. The search began after a car chase involving a Maroon Chrysler with South Carolina plates, which crashed on the exit ramp leading to State Route 7 in Ohio. The occupants, a Black male and a young white female believed to be Gibson, fled the scene towards Kanauga, Ohio. Anyone with information on their whereabouts should contact Gallia County's 911 Center immediately.
