Multiple Fatalities and Missing Persons Reported After Boats Capsize in Alaska
A Canoga Park woman and her sister died while on a family vacation in Alaska after a boat capsized. The woman's husband and the boat's captain are still missing. The incident occurred on May 28th when a 30-foot charter vessel carrying five people capsized in the area of Low Island in Sitka Sound. One person was found unresponsive in the water and later pronounced dead. The sisters' bodies were recovered from the sunken boat on Wednesday.
