Francine, a beloved store cat from Lowe's in Virginia, was missing for weeks after hitching a ride on a truck to North Carolina. She was found at a distribution center there and returned home after a rescue effort, and is now celebrated by the community and store employees.
A gate issue at a South Nashville apartment complex delayed firefighters from responding to a fire, causing concern among residents. The gate prevented the Nashville Fire Department crews from accessing the scene for a couple of minutes until they obtained the necessary codes. Although the fire was contained to one breezeway, 10 families were displaced, and a cat is missing. The apartment complex management declined to comment on the gate issue.
