Minnesota State University's men's basketball team won its first NCAA DII National Championship with a thrilling 88-85 victory over Nova Southeastern, thanks to a game-winning three-pointer by Kyreese Willingham. The Mavericks finished the season with a 35-2 record, while NSU finished with a 32-3 record. Dylan Peeters led MSU with 19 points, while Malik Willingham, Kyreese Willingham, and Harrison Braudis each contributed 12 points. This victory marks the first time since 1984 that a school has won both the D-II Men's and Women's Tournament in the same season.
