WGA and Studios Set to Resume Negotiations on Friday
The Writers Guild of America (WGA) will resume negotiations with the studios on Friday, with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers (AMPTP) set to deliver a response to the guild's proposals. The ongoing strike, which has lasted for 101 days, centers around issues such as a viewership-based streaming residual, a minimum staffing level for TV writers rooms, and a guaranteed minimum number of weeks of work for TV writers. Both sides remain at odds, and the WGA has cautioned against false hopes and attempts to soften the union's resolve.
