Cold Case Solved: Victim's Identity Revealed 35 Years Later
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) has identified the human remains found in a dumpster in Jenkins County in 1988 as those of Chong Un Kim, a 26-year-old woman from Hinesville, Georgia. The victim, wrapped in plastic and duct tape, was found inside a suitcase and had been dead for four to seven days. Despite extensive efforts over the years, the case remained unsolved until advanced DNA testing by Othram Inc. led to Kim's identification. The GBI is now seeking information from anyone who may have known Kim or has information about the case.
