Milk tanker crash causes highway closure and traffic chaos
A tanker truck carrying milk crashed on US-131 in Grand Rapids, causing the closure of all northbound lanes as crews worked to clean up the spilled milk. The exact amount of milk spilled is unknown, but authorities stated that it cannot be washed off the freeway due to its toxicity to fish in the water system. The road reopened to normal traffic in the afternoon, and police believe speed was a factor in the collision. The driver of the truck was uninjured.
