White Sox Cut Pillar and Moustakas, Sign Grossman
The White Sox have released infielder Mike Moustakas and outfielder Kevin Pillar, both of whom were in camp on minor league contracts. Both players had the option to opt out of their contracts today, and it's unclear whether they officially triggered their opt-outs or if Chicago preemptively released them. Moustakas struggled in spring training, while Pillar had a middling performance, and now both players will head back to the open market as free agents.
