"Migrant Suspects in Times Square NYPD Assault Nod Off Ahead of Arraignment, Bail Set by Activist Priest"
Ulises Bohorquez, a migrant suspect, pleaded not guilty to second-degree assault charges for his alleged role in the beating of two New York City cops in Times Square. He was seen nodding off and having difficulty keeping his eyes open before the arraignment. Five of the asylum seekers charged with assault were previously allowed free without bail. The president of the Police Benevolent Association union praised the decision to set bail at $100,000 for Bohorquez. Another suspect, Yarwuin Madris, 17, was also arraigned and remanded in jail. The incident occurred when officers attempted to disperse a disorderly group in Times Square, resulting in the assault on the officers.
