A 17-year-old boy was shot and killed in Midwest City over the weekend. Police responded to a report of shots being fired and found the victim dead in front of a home. A juvenile suspect was arrested and booked into the juvenile detention center. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities said that everyone involved in the shooting was under 18.
The Midwest City Police Department identified the victim of the shooting at Rose State College as 20-year-old Robenie W. "RJ" Long Jr. The suspect, Brandon Morrissette, was arrested on complaints of first-degree murder and possession of a firearm on school property. Morrissette's wife told investigators that he thought she was having an affair with the victim, who was a friend of his wife. Morrissette allegedly confronted them and shot Long.
