Several developers at Firaxis Games, the studio behind Marvel's Midnight Suns, have been laid off in what the parent company 2K calls "a sharpening of focus, enhancements of efficiencies, and an alignment of our talent against our highest priorities." Firaxis' most recent game, Midnight Suns, had a strong commercial reception but was deemed to have underperformed by Take-Two. The studio's immediate next project is a new entry in the Civilization series, and they have "new creative projects for our teams" in the works.

Marvel's Midnight Suns will release its final DLC pack, Blood Storm, on May 11th, featuring the X-Men leader Storm as a playable character. The pack includes new missions, hero outfits, and upgrades to The Abbey. The DLC can be purchased separately or as part of the Season Pass. Storm's inclusion concludes the current post-launch plans and the story. The game is available on Steam and The Epic Games Store for £50/$60/€60.

Marvel's Midnight Suns will finally launch for Xbox One and PS4 on May 11th, but the previously announced Switch release has been cancelled. The game blends card-battling turn-based combat and Fire-Emblem-style relationship building. The release coincides with the arrival of the game's fourth and final bit of post-launch DLC, Blood Storm, which adds Storm as a playable character alongside new story missions.

Marvel's Midnight Suns, the critically acclaimed comic book card-based tactics game, will not be coming to Nintendo Switch. Publisher 2K confirmed the news while announcing the final DLC trailer for the game. The game will be available digitally on PS4 and Xbox One on May 11th, but no reason has been given for the Switch port's cancellation.
