Calling hours and funeral details have been set for Syracuse police officer Michael Jensen, who was fatally shot in Salina. The calling hours will be held on Friday at the Nicholas J. Bush Funeral Home in Rome, with the funeral scheduled for Saturday at St. John the Baptist Church. Jensen, described as a beloved son, brother, officer, and friend, will be buried in St. John’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to various organizations. Jensen, 29, had recently joined the Syracuse Police Department after working as an accountant and was remembered for his infectious smile and positive personality.
