"Michael Andlauer's Acquisition of Ottawa Senators Officially Approved by NHL"
The sale of the Ottawa Senators to a group led by Michael Andlauer has been unanimously approved by the NHL's board of governors, with the transaction now completed. Andlauer, the founder and CEO of Andlauer Healthcare Group, will assume control of the team's operations immediately. The sale comes after the Senators went up for sale last November following the death of owner Eugene Melnyk. Andlauer's ownership group includes Jeff York, co-CEO of Farm Boy grocery store, and the Malhotra family, owners of Claridge Homes.
