Epstein emails pull Norway’s crown princess into new controversy
Newly unsealed U.S. Justice Department files show extensive contact between Norway’s Crown Princess Mette-Marit and Jeffrey Epstein from 2011–2014, including numerous emails and a four-day stay at Epstein’s Palm Beach home. She described him in affectionate terms and even discussed questionable topics, but says she ended the contact in 2014 and regrets poor judgment. The disclosures come as her son Marius Borg Høiby faces a 38-count rape trial; the palace notes that inclusion in the files does not imply wrongdoing and that Mette-Marit will be away during the trial.
