New LAX Metro Station Opens, Connecting Airport to Regional Rail
The Los Angeles Metro has opened a new transit center at LAX, connecting to the K and C Lines, with plans for an automated people mover train to improve airport access, easing traffic and enhancing international travel experience. Free shuttle buses currently serve the route, with the train expected to be operational next year, marking a significant upgrade in LA's transit infrastructure ahead of major events like the 2026 FIFA World Cup and 2028 Olympics.
