Messiah Nantwi, who was out on bail for allegedly firing at cops two years ago, was arrested and charged in the murder of two men in New York City. He allegedly killed a 19-year-old on Saturday and executed a 36-year-old man in a smoke shop on Sunday. Nantwi was a member of the local OTN Goodfellas gang and was caught on camera wearing an FDNY jacket during the smoke shop shooting. Robberies targeting storefronts that sell marijuana paraphernalia have gone up by 10% this year compared to 2020.

NYC Murder Suspect Had History of Attacking Officers and Was Out on Bail.

Messiah Nantwi, a man previously accused of trying to kill police officers during a shootout and out on bail, has been charged with murder after two men were shot in the head in separate incidents over Easter weekend in Harlem. Nantwi was also charged with one count of criminal possession of a weapon. The police have not identified the first victim, but the second victim was identified as Brandon Brunson, 36, of East New York, Brooklyn. Nantwi's lawyer in the Bronx case declined to comment.
