Landslide Blocks Coastline Highway 1 Near Elk; Reopening Time Uncertain
A major landslide completely blocks Highway 1 south of Elk, closing both lanes with no estimated reopening time. Debris and a downed tree cover the roadway near post mile 31, and a Pepsi semi was stuck in the Elk Bridge switchbacks due to the closure.
