Originally Published 1 year ago — by PCWorld

The upcoming DDR6 memory standard is expected to achieve speeds of up to 12,800 MT/s, with overclocked modules potentially reaching up to 16,800 MT/s. It will feature four memory channels, doubling the number compared to DDR5, and is projected to provide at least 134.4GB/s of memory bandwidth. Additionally, DDR6 will offer expanded features, lower voltage, and enhanced error correction capabilities. Samsung is working on finalizing the DDR6 standard, with an expected launch in the professional enterprise segment by 2025.
