Riviera Country Club to Host 2031 U.S. Open after 83-Year Absence
The USGA has announced that the U.S. Open will return to Riviera Country Club in Los Angeles in 2031, 83 years after it last hosted the tournament. The club will also host the U.S. Women's Open in 2026 and the golf competition in the 2028 Olympics. Riviera, which has not held a major since the 1995 PGA Championship, is known for its kikuya grass, the reachable par-4 10th hole, and the bunker in the middle of the green on the par-3 sixth.
