Topgolf Providence Renamed Amidst Controversy
Topgolf's first facility in New England, located in Cranston, Rhode Island, will be renamed "Topgolf Rhode Island" instead of "Topgolf Providence" following pushback from Cranston Mayor Ken Hopkins. The mayor expressed appreciation for the company's cooperation and open-mindedness, stating that the name change demonstrates why they are excited about Topgolf coming to Cranston. The facility is set to open by fall.
