Suspect in Double Homicide Case Found Dead

Multiple thefts of construction equipment reported in South Carolina

Two people have been arrested by the Greenville Police Department in connection with the theft of a Bobcat Excavator Model E42 from a construction site in Mauldin, South Carolina. The excavator has been recovered and the arrests were made after receiving tips about the robbery. The suspects left the scene in a two-tone dark green and beige Ford Explorer with a shattered back glass. The identities of the arrested individuals have not been released.

Mauldin, SC moves closer to creating a vibrant downtown.

Mauldin, South Carolina has sold 6.5 acres of downtown property to the Parker Group and Longbranch Development for $1.15 million, marking the start of the Maverick Yards project that will kick off City Center Village. The mixed-use development will include residential townhomes and an entertainment and dining complex with eventual access to the Swamp Rabbit Trail. The Parker Group will redevelop a 20,000-square-foot industrial warehouse into "The Pickle Yard," which will feature pickleball courts as its primary attraction, while Longbranch Development will redevelop 2.4 acres of property into more than 40 townhomes that will be available for rent. Both projects are slated to open in late 2024.
