Boston Serial Rape Suspect Matthew Nilo Denies New Assault Charges
Matthew Nilo, a Boston serial rape suspect, has pleaded not guilty to new charges involving the sexual assault of four more women 15 years ago. Nilo's lawyer accused the government of pinning unsolved cases on his client. The new charges relate to attacks on women in Boston's North End neighborhood between 2007 and 2008. Nilo was previously charged with similar incidents in the Charlestown neighborhood and has pleaded not guilty. The prosecutor hopes advancements in DNA technology will provide evidence for conviction. Nilo's bail was set at $50,000 cash, which he plans to post immediately. The next hearing is scheduled for September 14.
