Timothy Cheruiyot won the men's 1500m at the USATF LA Grand Prix, beating his countryman Reynold Kipkorir Cheruiyot with a world-leading time of 3:31.47. Matthew Centrowitz finished eighth with his fastest time since the 2021 Olympics. 20-year-old Hobbs Kessler finished third with a personal best time of 3:32.61, proving he is now ready to run with the best milers in the United States.
