Whole Foods has temporarily closed its downtown San Francisco location due to public safety issues, with all team members being transferred to nearby locations. Supervisor Matt Dorsey, who frequented the store, said he had seen signs that the Whole Foods was struggling, with staff complaining about "people acting out" inside the store. Dorsey has seized on the store closure to announce that he wants voters to decide on a ballot measure next year that would re-establish minimum staffing levels for the San Francisco Police Department and set a goal of reaching it in the next five years.
