"Northeast Braces for Winter Storm Ember: Heavy Snow Predicted for New England and D.C. Area"
Boston and Massachusetts are bracing for a significant snowstorm this weekend, with the National Weather Service issuing a Winter Storm Watch from Saturday night through Sunday. Snowfall is expected to begin Saturday evening, with heavy snowfall rates of over 1" per hour in some areas. Final snowfall predictions range from 6-12" just inland from the coastline, 3-6" along the immediate coastline, and 1-3" on the South Coast to the mid-Cape. Outer Cape and Nantucket may see very little snow. Coastal flooding concerns are low due to astronomically low tides.
