
Wrestler suffers significant burns after setting himself on fire in deathmatch event.
Independent wrestler MASADA suffered significant burns to his face and body after accidentally setting himself on fire during a deathmatch event at XPW Wrestling in Pomona, California. The wrestler was attempting to blow a fireball at his opponent when the stunt went awry, causing the flames to engulf his upper body. MASADA finished the contest but was diagnosed with first- and second-degree burns all over his body and is currently recovering in the burn unit of a nearby medical facility. Despite the incident, MASADA has no plans to retire from wrestling.
