"Unsettling Death of American Airlines Flight Attendant at Philadelphia Airport Hotel Raises Suspicion"

The body of a 66-year-old American Airlines flight attendant was found unresponsive in a Marriott hotel room at the Philadelphia International Airport. The discovery has prompted a homicide investigation, as the death is considered suspicious despite appearing to be a sudden death. No signs of forced entry or struggle were found, and no weapons were recovered. The woman was supposed to have checked out two days earlier, but the hotel has not provided further information on why they didn't realize she hadn't checked out.

Marriott Hotel withholds $9 million in tips from workers.

San Francisco's Marriott Hotel has been ordered by a judge to pay around $9 million in withheld fees to hundreds of workers who served food and drink at banquets from 2012 through April 2017. The workers' lawyer said this was the first case to go to trial since a state appeals court ruled in 2019 that service charges belonged to the employees under California law if they were reasonably viewed as tips by the customers who paid them.
